The part of making my handsmocked, hand-embroidered,  dresses that I love doing the most, is the art work involved with the smocking and embroidery. While working on this part of the dress I feel as though the dress front is my canvas and the embroidery floss is my paint. Each scene is composed by me and stitched freehand as I go. There is no pattern used or anything drawn onto the dress front first, and when I've finished, I do indeed, have a picture!

In considering the idea of making note cards, I realized that I have the photos of all of these scenes that I have "painted" on the dress fronts, and thought, being that they are pictures, they would make very unique notecards and they would even make very cute pictures if frame and hung on a wall in  a child's room.

So it is with that thought in mind that I have created this series of notecards  that I call Notes From Rabbit Whiskers. As with my series, The Language of Flowers, this series will consist of sets of 4 assorted notecards and envelopes and each will have a photographed picture mounted on it.

Each notecard is made of top-quality, white card stock that measures 5 1/4"x 7 1/4",  and  is white with envelopes to match.

Centered on the cover of each card is a 4" x 6" glossy photograph of a hand-stitched scene that has been developed by Kodak on quality photographic paper. Each card in the set of 4 will have a different photo and will be depicted in the first four photos of the listing. The fifth listing photo gives you an example of how your cards will look when you receive them. Each set is carefully wrapped in a heavy
sheet of decorative paper, fastened at both ends with a ribbon bow, & ready for gifting, if desired. Each wrapped set will then be put into a bubble mailer to insure protection.

* You will find these blank photo notecards offer room for a long note or letter and are excellent for gift giving. They also look adorable if framed and hung either singly or in groupings, on a wall.  I hope you enjoy viewing these cards as much as I have enjoyed creating them!
