This size 4, 100% cotton, girl's dress is a hand-smocked and hand-embroidered, ooak, heirloom-quality dress that every little girl will love wearing.  The pink with white polka dot fabric, is smocked in an intricate design of pink and white.

Using my own technique of combining smocking and embroidery to add detail and texture, and a third dimension, a scene is embroidered in the center of the smocking. It is Spring and the air is full of birdsong, but this little baby is hungry! She's been chirping so loudly that she doesn't even know her mama has appeared behind her with a large worm!

The sleeve edges and button placket are hand-trimmed in blanket stitch and a small lilac branch is embroidered between the first and second button.
