Stuffed Animal, Bunny Doll, Hand Knit & Embroidered Wearing Hand Smocked Dress/ Annika

$130.00

Annika is a hand knit and hand embroidered one of a kind, bunny. Standing, measured to the tips of her ears she measures approximately 14″ tall. Annika wears a soft-pink cotton sundress with small white polka dots on it. I have hand smocked the front and back of her dress in a pink and white design. Over the smocking on her dress front I’ve hand embroidered a little bunny and some pink flowers. I’ve crocheted a little basket and flowers that she carries over her arm. Annika is very unique and will be a great addition to any collection.

Lots of excitement today!! We’re so happy to have added a new bunny to the Bunny Garden. This sweet little girl is Annika. Annika was down by the pond hiding behind a tree and watching Buckwheat fish. She said she’d never seen a bunny go fishing before and when she saw Buckwheat hop over to the pond with his fishing pole she hid behind a tree to see what he was going to do. She was totally surprised when he pulled his pole from the water and there, attached to the line, was a fish, flicking it’s tail and wiggling in the air. She was so surprised that she let out a little scream. Her scream surprised Buckwheat & IMG_0900made him jump & drop his fishing pole into the pond. He was able to dive-in and grab the pole, but the fish swam away. Annika came out from behind the tree & Buckwheat saw her for the first time. “Just look what you made me do! Now I’ve lost my fish!” Annika told him how so sorry she was and explained that she’d never seen anyone go fishing before & when she saw the big fish flying around at the end of his line it made her scream. Noticing how pretty she is, Buckwheat accepted her apology & told her if she could wait, he’d catch another fish & give it to her. It was too late in the day for him to catch another fish so after trying for a few minutes he explained that they would have to come back early in the morning. He invited her into the Garden and introduced her to all of the other friends there. When she accepted his invitation to stay & be a part of the Bunny Garden, he brought Annika to me so I could meet her. When I asked Annika if she’d like me to make her something pretty to wear she immediately said that she would love to have a smocked dress like I made for Mia. I gave her a hug and told her I’d love to make her her very own, unique, smocked dress~ She was so happy when she saw the dress that she immediately went in search of, ” just the right color flowers to match her dress and carry in her basket over her arm! As you can see if you look at her basket, she found the perfect flowers for her dress!IMG_0892

Annika is a hand knit and hand embroidered one of a kind, bunny. Standing, measured to the tips of her ears, she is approximately 14″ tall. I knit her from 2 different acrylic yarns. Her paws, feet and outer ears are textured and tweed-like in appearance, in contrast to her head, arms, legs & body which is knit in an ecru-colored yarn. The centers of her ears and her tail are knit from a mohair blend yarn. Her nice firm shape is well-kept by polyfil stuffing. Annika wears a cotton sundress in light-pink with softly subtle white polka dots. I have hand smocked the front and back of her dress in s pink and white design. Over the smocking on her dress front I’ve hand embroidered a little bunny and some pink flowers. The back of the dress is smocked in the same design as the front, but instead of a bunny & flowers, there is a little embroidered bouquet of flowers centered in the smocking. At the hemline of the front of her dress I embroidered a single small pink flower. Annika’s basket and flowers are all crocheted by me using both acrylic and mohair blend yarns. Both Annika and her clothes and flower basket may be gently hand washed if necessary with a mild soap & warm water, then laid out to air-dry. Her cotton dress can be carefully ironed if wrinkled.IMG_0904

Annika has been carefully assembled with repetitive stitches that firmly attach her limbs to her body, while leaving her very limber and cuddly. Her head is purposely attached so that it can wobble from side to side and forward and back. It may seem “loose” but it’s intended to be that way. It is attached extremely well and under normal conditions, is there to stay. Because she is a knit doll, Annika is not intended to be a child’s rough- play toy. She makes an excellent addition as a collectible and also looks wonderful used as room decor .She will be a wonderful companion for a child who knows how to play gently & she’s extremely huggable! For gifting, Annika makes a very special, one of a kind, keepsake who, with proper care, can be enjoyed for many years to come!

~*~Annika, created with love~ guaranteed 100% to love you back!~*~
