It gives me great pleasure to introduce Lily, Rabbit Whiskers newest model. Lily is the grand-daughter of my best friend; (our friendship dates back to the note-passing days of seventh-grade!) so it was with much excitement that I created a dress especially for her.

If, when I was in seventh- grade I had been told that when I grew-up I would be designing and sewing baby dresses, and would even one day, make a dress for my friend’s grand-daughter, I would have laughed at the absurdity of such an idea. I despised sewing- no, never! - I’d never do anything like that!

  So it gives me great joy to have defied myself, thus enabling both my grand-daughter Grace, (who appears in an earlier post wearing a white and yellow smocked dress with a giraffe embroidered on it,) and now my friend’s grand-daughter Lily, in her teddy bear, smocked dress, to look so adorable in dresses that I designed and sewed!

Keep looking! In the near future I’m hoping that both Grace and Lily will have the chance to display lots of my new designs. After all, while these are really very special, pretty dresses, it takes a child wearing them to complete the picture and make them beautiful, as you can see looking at Lily’s pictures, and again, looking back at pictures of Grace~

*about Lily - Lily is 1 1/2 years-old and lives with her mom and dad in Walnut Creek, Ca. Among her many favorite things to do, is visiting her grandma and grandpa, cuddling with her favorite toy bunny, and finding new dogs to meet. Lily loves dogs as you can see from these photos!!
